Managing API Keys

GPT Mate allows you to use your own OpenAI or Google Gemini API keys for private and scalable access.

How to Add or Update API Keys

• Open a Google Sheet.
• Go to Extensions > GPT Mate for Sheets > Settings.
• Under the API Keys section:
  • Enter your OpenAI API key if using OpenAI models. See how to get your OpenAI API key.
  • Enter your Gemini API key if using Gemini models. See how to get your Gemini API key.
• Click Save after adding your keys.

• Make sure your API keys are active and have quota available.
• GPT Mate will automatically detect which key to use based on the model you select.
• You can update your keys anytime if you generate a new key.
